Hi, I’m “Hummingbird” — the owner and painter behind Fancy Faces Face Painting. I’m a Robeson County–based artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and over 15 years of painting experience.

My face painting journey began when I was 14 during a family fundraiser to raise money for a trip. My brothers played music, my sisters held a bake sale, and I offered face painting. I still remember the excitement of the children I painted that day — it was the first time I saw how art could bring people together and create pure joy. That moment sparked a lifelong passion.

Fancy Faces was built from that love — the love of art, imagination, and connection. I take pride in turning ordinary events into colorful celebrations, where kids and adults alike can express themselves and make unforgettable memories. From birthday parties and festivals to creative makeup looks and themed transformations, I strive to make every design as unique as the person wearing it.

Though I’m a one-woman artist, Fancy Faces is a family effort. My husband helps when he can, and my children are learning how to face paint. My dream is to one day grow this business alongside my family — sharing creativity, laughter, and the joy of bringing smiles to others.

Based in Robeson County, NC, I happily travel across the state and beyond for events. Whether you’re planning a birthday party, corporate celebration, or community festival, Fancy Faces is here to make your occasion shine — one colorful smile at a time.
